Mel Charlot is a recognized choreographer and artistic director, as well as an iconic television judge on Revolution (the number 1 dance show in Canada) and Danse avec les stars in France. Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, in a Haitian family full of music, she discovered her passion for movement very early on — a passion that would take her to stages and screens around the world.
Her career, which spans over twenty years, has seen her evolve from competitive dancer to professional performer, Broadway artist, then choreographer and visionary highly sought after in the entertainment industry, between Canada, the United States and Europe.
Mel Charlot has collaborated (in dance and/or choreography) with international icons such as Lizzo, Chris Brown, Beyoncé, Serena Williams, P. Diddy, Kanye West, Kanye West, Faith Evans, Omarion, and many others. She has also participated in major campaigns for Jordan/Nike, L'Oréal, L'Oréal and Make Up For Ever, and signed choreography for successful television productions such as So You Think You Can Dance, Lip Sync Battle, The Masked Singer, among others.
Nominated for the World Choreography Awards and the UK Music Video Awards (UKMVA), Mel Charlot continues to push the boundaries of creation while transmitting her knowledge to the new generation of dancers and choreographers. She brings to each project a unique blend of artistic excellence, professionalism and authenticity — on stage, on screen and in the studio.
